1. Limited Warranty for LIZN Hearpieces®
The LIZN Hearpieces® are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period from the date of original retail purchase (if purchased at a LIZN Authorized retailer or webshop) or from the date of shipment (if purchased on the LIZN webshop) when used in accordance with the applicable usage documentation.
The warranty period is either two years, or the minimum period mandated by the regulatory requirements in the country of sale.
Under this warranty, you will be able to direct your claims to LIZN even in situations where you purchased the LIZN Product from a third party. If a defect arises during the Warranty Period, LIZN will, at its option, (1) repair the affected Product at no charge using new parts or parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, (2) exchange the affected Product with a functionally equivalent Product that is new or formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability or, with your consent, a Product that is at least functionally equivalent to the Product it replaces; or (3) refund the original purchase price for the affected Product. This warranty excludes normal depletion of consumable parts such as batteries unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship and, damage resulting from abuse, accident, modifications, unauthorized repairs, or other causes that are not defects in materials and workmanship.
Any limitations of liability in this warranty document shall not apply to (i) death or personal injury pursuant to any mandatory law on product liability; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (iii) intentional misconduct or gross negligence; (iv) or a culpable breach of major contractual obligations. A damage claim based on a breach of major contractual obligations or gross negligence will be limited to foreseeable damage typical for the sale contract concerned.
If the Product is exchanged, the replacement product becomes your property and the Product becomes LIZN’s property. When a refund is given, the Product becomes LIZN’s property. This warranty excludes defects due to normal wear, abuse, shipping damage, or failure to use the product in accordance with instructions. This warranty is void in the event of unauthorized repair or modification, or removal or defacing of the product labeling.
Except to the extent precluded by applicable state law, LIZN is not liable for consequential, incidental, direct or special damages arising, directly or indirectly, in respect of such products or use or failure thereof, whether based on breach of warranty, negligence, strict liability, tort, or otherwise.
No LIZN reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.
This warranty is offered in addition to rights and remedies conveyed by consumer protection laws and regulations that cannot be statutorily waived and do not affect your applicable statutory rights. To the extent permitted under applicable law, the duration of any implied warranty shall be one year.
Language versions
In the event of a conflict between the English and other language versions of the Limited Warranty for LIZN Hearpieces® and all other legal documents from LIZN Inc., the English version will prevail.
2. LIZN ApS Terms, Conditions, Safety, and Warranty for the EU, Norway, Switzerland, and the UK for products ordered via the LIZN webshop
These Terms, Conditions, Safety, and Warranty apply for customers with shipping address in the EU27 countries, Norway, Switzerland and the UK.
Free shipping for orders of EUR 100 and over.
Orders will be dispatched within 3 business days. If ordered products are out of stock the consumer will be contacted immediately and informed about expected delivery time.
Partial orders will not be shipped. If orders contain multiple items, they will be shipped only when they are available.
You may cancel your order at any time before you receive an order confirmation. After this time limit it is no longer possible.
§ 1 Application of Terms and Conditions
(1) These Terms and conditions (T&Cs) apply to all orders placed by private customers at the LIZN webshop. These T&Cs are only applicable for private customers and may not be used by customers acting in their capacity as entrepreneurs or businessmen. The T&Cs in the version valid at the time of placement of the order apply exclusively. Deviating provisions of LIZN customers will not be accepted; this shall also apply when LIZN does not expressly object to the inclusion of such deviating provisions.
(2) LIZN will provide customers with the T&Cs in text form in the version that is relevant for their order after submission of the order at the latest together with the delivery of the products. The wording of the contract will be provided to the customer with the order confirmation e-mail. It will not be made accessible for customers electronically after conclusion of the contract.
§ 2 Conclusion of the Contract
(1) The presentation of the LIZN products in the webshop is subject to change and is not an offer in a legal sense.
(2) By clicking the button "PRE-ORDER" or “ORDER” customers can place the desired product in the virtual shopping cart. This procedure is non-binding and is not a legally binding offer of the customer.
(3) The content of the order will be summarized under “Cart". The consumer can correct any errors through the available change fields and then select “Checkout” to proceed.
(4) The customer only submits his binding offer to LIZN for conclusion of a contract through clicking the button "Complete order”. The completion of the order process requires the confirmation of the knowledge and application of the T&Cs by the customer through a confirmation of the field "I have read and accepted the general terms and conditions".
(5) The confirmation of the receipt of the order placed through the LIZN webshop occurs through an e-mail referred to as "Order Confirmation". This automatic confirmation of receipt only informs the customer that the order has been received by LIZN and are not yet an acceptance of contract.
(6) A contract is only entered into once LIZN has confirmed the shipment of the ordered products in an e-mail referred to as "Shipping Confirmation" or the ordered product is actually shipped.
(7) The customer confirms that all information provided by him in the order or registration in the webshop (e.g. name, address, e-mail address, credit card details, etc.) is accurate. Changes must be indicated to LIZN without delay.
§ 3 Right of Withdrawal, Cancellation
(1) The customer has a right of withdrawal in accordance with the statutory provisions. The provisions apply for the right of revocation which are stated in detail in the following.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 1 month without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 1 month from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must electronically fill in the product return form at LIZN.com. LIZN will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail).
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, LIZN shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 1 month from the day on which LIZN has been informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
LIZN will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. LIZN may withhold reimbursement until LIZN has received the goods.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to LIZN without undue delay and in any event not later than 1 month from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us.
The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 1 month has expired. The cost of returning the goods will be borne by you.
When returning products, follow the Return Process in the General Return Policy for products ordered on the LIZN webshop. See section 6 below in this Terms, Conditions, Safety, and Warranty.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
(2) Notwithstanding your right of withdrawal pursuant to § 3 (1), you may cancel your order until LIZN has submitted the corresponding dispatch order to LIZN’s shipping partner.
§ 4 Prices and Shipping Costs
(1) All price information on the LIZN webshop involves gross prices including statutory VAT and includes shipping costs.
§ 5 Delivery, Non-Availability
(1) The delivery shall be made within the delivery period indicated for the particular product on the webshop. The time limit begins upon the receipt of the payment of the customer.
(2) In the event of non-availability of the ordered product for which LIZN is not responsible due to non-timely or incorrect delivery (including delivery of insufficient quantity) by (sub-) supplier despite a delivery agreement entered into with (sub-) supplier for the ordered product, LIZN reserves the right not to make delivery.
(3) In this case LIZN agrees to inform customers without delay of the (partial) non-availability of the ordered product and to reimburse any consideration (payments) already received from customers without delay.
§ 6 Payment Possibilities, Electronic Invoice
(1) The payment shall be made by credit card, debit card or PayPal. LIZN reserves the right to exclude individual payment methods or only to offer selected payment methods.
(2) The customer shall receive an electronic invoice together with the e-mail Shipping Confirmation. An electronic invoice is an invoice issued and received in electronic form. The customer consents to the sending of an electronic invoice.
§ 7 Retention of Title
Any products remain the property of LIZN until all payments have been paid in full.
§ 8 Warranties
(1) The customer's rights in respect of defects of quality are subject to statutory requirements. This means that the customer can primarily request replacement performance, i.e. at his option replacement delivery or elimination of defect. In the event the further statutory requirements are met, the customer is entitled to reduce the purchase price or to withdraw from the contract.
(2) The limitation period for statutory claims for defects shall be two years from delivery of the goods.
(3) Any additional manufacturer warranties provided by LIZN apply in addition to the claims due to defects as to quality or defects of title in the meaning of para. 1. Details of the scope of such warranties are indicated in the warranty terms which may be provided together with the products.
(4) Except for guarantees expressly indicated as such, no guarantees of any type are given.
§ 9 Liability for Damages
(1) LIZN has unlimited liability – for whatever reason – for compensation for losses based on willful or grossly negligent breach of duty on LIZN’s part or by any of LIZN’s legal representatives or vicarious agents.
(2) In the event of a negligent breach of duty on LIZN’s part or by one of LIZN’s legal representatives or vicarious agents LIZN shall be liable only a) - but without limit – for resultant losses arising from injury to life, limb or health b) for losses arising from a breach of material contractual duties. Material contractual duties are those duties that are material to proper performance of the contract and on whose fulfilment the customer generally relies or is entitled to rely. In this case, however, the amount of LIZN’s liability is limited to losses which are typical of this type of contract and which were foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded.
(3) The liability limitations arising from (2) do not apply where LIZN has maliciously failed to disclose a defect or where LIZN has assumed a warranty – which may carry liability for compensation – in respect of the attributes of the goods or a procurement risk.
(4) Where LIZN’s liability is excluded or limited under the above provisions, this also applies to the personal liability of LIZN’s directors and officers, legal representatives, employees, staff and other vicarious agents.
§ 10 Data Protection
(1) LIZN collects and stores the data of the customer necessary for the processing of the transaction. In processing the personal data of the customer LIZN complies with the statutory provisions.
(2) The customer shall upon request receive information concerning the recorded data concerning him at any time.
(3) LIZN complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation regarding the collection, use and retention of personal data. See LIZN Privacy Policy.
§ 11 Designation of Provider, address for summons

If you are not satisfied with the LIZN Hearpieces® purchased on the LIZN webshop for any reason, you have 1 month from the time you received your goods to initiate a return and request a refund.
Keep in mind! To process your return, LIZN requires a receipt or proof of purchase on the LIZN webshop.
Shipping and handling fees other than the included shipping fee from LIZN to you are non-refundable.
The return process
Contact us
Go to the LIZN Customer Support on www.LIZN.com to arrange the details for your return.
Enter your name, e-mail address and order number.
Please explain the reason for return.
You will receive return documents and a return shipping label by e-mail.
Packing
Pack the LIZN box in the same or similar packaging in which you received the product.
To be eligible for a refund, your items and accessories must be in the same condition that you received it, including the Hearpieces®, Charger, Heartips, cables and Manual. It must also be in the original LIZN packaging. LIZN will not refund or exchange any product that is damaged or if there are missing parts for reasons not due to errors made by LIZN.
Print both the return shipping label and the return document. Put the return documents inside the box together with the products. Then stick the return shipping label on the top of the packaging.
Ship it back
Please ship it to the address provided by the carrier of your choice and at your expense. Don't forget to keep the shipping receipt.
How long will the refund process take?
Once the package has been received at the LIZN warehouse and have been examined, LIZN will process your refund immediately via the same payment method you used originally. The time it takes for the money to reach your bank account may vary depending on the payment method and bank.

The 1 month refund policy for LIZN Hearpieces® does NOT apply for consumable parts and accessories sent and ordered separately on the LIZN webshop.
4. Additional Terms and Conditions for ordering on the LIZN webshop
Please carefully read these Terms. By ordering a Product on our webshop (www.LIZN.com), you are agreeing to these Terms. If you do not understand the Terms or do not accept any part of them, do not place an order.
Privacy
LIZN complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the US Privacy Act and the CCPA regarding the collection, use and retention of personal data. Please refer to the LIZN Privacy Policy for more information on how LIZN collects, uses and shares the information we receive from you. You consent that in order to process your order and to protect you and LIZN from fraudulent transactions, LIZN may provide your order information to reputable third parties to perform address verifications and to assist in fulfilling or delivering your order. Ordering and Payment
When you place an order for a Product, you permit LIZN to charge the credit card, debit card or other payment method you have chosen for your purchase in the total amount of your order (including any shipping charges and taxes). You agree that all information provided by you in your order is accurate and complete including name, address, e-mail address, and payment information.
LIZN reserves the right to reject your order. For example, LIZN may reject your order if you do not live in a country from which Product may be purchased or if you order more than the permitted maximum number of Products.
When your order is received by LIZN, we will send you an order confirmation e-mail which will include details of your order. Then, when the order is accepted and shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail with an attached electronic invoice as well as a copy of this document that you should refer to if you have any follow-up inquiries. You consent to the sending of the order confirmation e-mail and the electronic invoice correspondence.
All Products remain our property until all payments have been paid in full.
Prices
The Product prices displayed on the site include basic shipping charges. Information about additional shipping charges may be presented at checkout before you place your order. All prices displayed are subject to change at any time without notice.
Taxes and Import Fees
Tax is not included in the item price, so you may have to pay tax on delivery.
Furthermore, you are solely responsible for all duties, import taxes and brokerage fees. These are not included in the cost of shipping or handling of your order. Customs, duties, and taxes vary widely from country to country; please check with your local customs agency for details on estimated costs. Customs, duty, and taxes are non-refundable: So, if you refuse a shipment because of unexpected import fees, the cost of the original shipping, any brokerage/customs/duty/taxes, and any return shipping charges will not be refunded.
Delivery
We may not be able to deliver to all locations. If LIZN does not ship a Product to the address you provided, you will be sent a notice and you will not be charged for your order. If a Product cannot be successfully delivered because you have provided incorrect or incomplete delivery information, the Product will be returned to LIZN. In that case you will not be charged for the Product (or charges already incurred will be reversed using the initial payment method), but you may be charged for shipping (and such charges will not be reversed).

Any delivery dates or times provided by LIZN (or a delivery agent) are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Pricing Mistakes
We try very hard to make sure there are no mistakes in the prices that appear on the LIZN webshop. In the unlikely event that a mistake occurs, you agree that LIZN will not be bound by that incorrect price, and we reserve the right to cancel your order.
Order Limits
We may impose limits on the maximum number of particular Products that you may order. You may not order more than the maximum order limit for a particular Product.
Import and Export
The Product may be subject to import and export laws. You must comply with all domestic and international import and export laws and regulations that apply in connection with the Product. These laws may include restrictions on destinations, users, and end use.
Use of the Product
Please carefully read any instructions that come with the Product, including instructions that may be available online. Further, you agree to comply with any software license agreements applicable to your use of software on the Product. LIZN may also provide software updates/upgrades that you will need to install in order to make the best possible use of the functionality of the Product and any related services. Use of that software may be subject to additional licensing terms.
Resale and Gifts
You may only purchase Product for your personal use. You may not commercially resell any Product, but you may give the Product as a gift to another for their personal use. These Terms apply to any gift recipient.
Technical Specifications
Battery life for Products with batteries will depend on usage and other factors and so actual results will vary. Products with storage capacity may be preformatted with operating system software and other files and actual formatted capacity will be less than the total memory listed.
Returns and Refunds
When returning products, follow the Return Process in the General Return Policy for products ordered on the LIZN webshop. See section 3 above in this Terms, Conditions, Safety, & Warranty for LIZN Products ordered via LIZN Webshop.
Defects; Warranties; Disclaimer of Warranties
If the Product is or becomes defective through no fault of your own, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair of the Product. Please always refer to the appropriate Limited Warranty.
Nothing in this section affects your legal rights under applicable laws. Unless otherwise required under applicable laws, LIZN may only provide warranty support for LIZN products manufactured by LIZN that are located in a supported country.
OTHER THAN THE WARRANTIES REFERRED TO IN THE APPLICABLE LIMITED WARRANTY, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LIZN EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING ANY PRODUCTS, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY
YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LIZN AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES, INCLUDING SUPPLIERS (COLLECTIVELY, "LIZN PARTIES") SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY (WHETHER CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE) FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES THAT MAY BE INCURRED BY YOU IN CONNECTION WITH THE PRODUCT OR THESE TERMS, INCLUDING ANY LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER OR NOT A LIZN PARTY OR ITS REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF OR SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH LOSSES ARISING. YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LIZN PARTIES' TOTAL LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE PRODUCT OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO LIZN UNDER THESE TERMS.
Some states or countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
Third Party Devices
You understand that the Product may only be compatible with certain devices manufactured by third parties, and LIZN makes no warranty with respect to such third-party hardware components or their compatibility with the Product.
Disputes
Any dispute or claim relating in any way to your use of any LIZN Product or LIZN Services, or to any products or services sold or distributed by LIZN or through its online webshop will be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court. The laws of Denmark apply to this agreement.
We each agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated or representative action. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than in arbitration, we each waive any right to a jury trial. We also both agree that you or we may bring suit in court to enjoin infringement or other misuse of intellectual property rights.
Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
By buying a product or service, you agree that the laws of Denmark will govern these Conditions of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and LIZN. The Retten i Aarhus shall be the exclusive place of jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of these Terms.
In the event of a conflict between the English and other language versions of the LIZN Terms, Conditions, Safety, & Warranty for LIZN Products Ordered via LIZN Webshop and all other legal documents from LIZN ApS, the English version will prevail.
Changes to the Terms
The Terms in effect at the time you place an order for the Product will apply to such order and Product. LIZN reserves the right to make changes to these Terms from time to time and such changes will apply to orders.
Events Beyond Reasonable Control
Neither party will be responsible for any delay or failure to comply with these Terms if the delay or failure arises from any cause, which is beyond its reasonable control.
Limitations on Waiver
If you breach these Terms, and LIZN does not take immediate action, it does not mean that LIZN is waiving any rights to take action in the future.
Severability
In the event any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision will be severed from the remainder of these Terms, and such remainder will remain in force and effect.
5. LIZN Hearpieces® Safety Regulations
This safety guide contains important safety and handling information. Before using LIZN Hearpieces®, please read all safety information below.

INTENTED USE
Earphones for making telephone calls, listening to music or other media with an additional hearing/listening feature, intended to improve speech recognition when used in connection with face-to-face communication in difficult acoustic environments such as a busy restaurant with high levels of background noise.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
For persons that would like to improve their ease of speech comprehension in noisy environments.
For persons that would like to reduce the cognitive strain required to follow or participate in conversation in larger groups.
For persons that want to mitigate problems recognizing speech in settings where interfering speech or background noise is loud.
FORSEEABLE MISUSE
Attempt to use the device for improving speech recognition in quiet surroundings.
Attempt to infer anything about a user’s hearing ability from the change in perception experienced when using the device.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

If you are younger than 18, do not use LIZN Hearpieces®.
The LIZN Hearpieces® are only for users who are 18 or older.

When to see a doctor?
If you have any of the problems below, please see a doctor, preferably an ear-nose-throat doctor (an ENT).
• Your ear has a birth defect or an unusual shape. Your ear was injured or deformed in an accident.
• You saw blood, pus, or fluid coming out of your ear in the past 6 months.
• Your ear feels painful or uncomfortable.
• You have a lot of ear wax, or you think something could be in your ear.
• You get really dizzy or have a feeling of spinning or swaying (called vertigo).
• Your hearing changed suddenly in the past 6 months.
• Your hearing changes: it gets worse then gets better again.
• You have worse hearing in one ear.
• You hear ringing or buzzing in only one ear.
WARNING: This device should not cause pain when inserting it.
Remove this device from your ear if it causes pain or discomfort when you insert or place it. To try again, make sure to follow the instructions. If you feel pain or discomfort again, contact the manufacturer.
Caution: This is not hearing protection.
You should remove this device if you experience overly loud sounds, whether short or long-lasting. If you’re in a loud place, you should use the right kind of hearing protection instead of wearing this device. In general, if you would use ear plugs in a loud place, you should remove this device and use ear plugs.
Caution: The sound output should not be uncomfortable or painful.
You should turn down the volume or remove the device if the sound output is uncomfortably loud or painful. If you consistently need to turn the volume down, you may need to further adjust your device.
Caution: You might need medical help if a piece gets stuck in your ear.
If any part of your device, like the Heartip, gets stuck in your ears, and you can’t easily remove it with your fingers, get medical help as soon as you can. You should not try to use tweezers or cotton swaps because they can push the part farther into your ear, injuring your eardrum or ear canal, possibly seriously.
Note: If you remain concerned, consult a professional.
If you try this device and continue to struggle with or remain concerned about your hearing, you should consult with a hearing healthcare professional.

Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in serious physical injury or damage.
Do not listen at high volume levels for long periods of time as this can lead to serious and permanent hearing loss.

• Heed all warnings
• Do not use LIZN Hearpieces® as earphones when it is unsafe to do so, i.e., a scenario where full attention to your surroundings is required. Use caution or remove LIZN Hearpieces® if continued use is distracting or causes a dangerous situation, such as crossing streets, driving a vehicle, or operating heavy machinery. Observe all rules and laws in your state or country that prohibit or restrict the use of LIZN Hearpieces®.
• LIZN Hearpieces® contain components and radios that emits electromagnetic fields. LIZN Hearpieces® and Charger also contain magnets that may interfere with pacemakers, defibrillators, or other medical devices. Maintain a safe distance of separation between your medical device and LIZN Hearpieces® and Charger. Consult your doctor and medical device manufacturer for information specific to your medical device. Stop using LIZN Hearpieces® and Charger if you suspect they are interfering with your medical device.
• If the outer shells of your LIZN Hearpieces® or Charger case are broken, the rechargeable batteries inside may leak. In this case, do not attempt to use the Hearpieces® or Charger.
• Battery leakage can cause chemical burns. If you get exposed to battery leakage material, rinse immediately with warm water. If you get chemical burns, redness or skin irritation from battery leakage, seek medical attention.
• If the Hearpieces® or Charger case are broken, do not use them.
• Never leave people with cognitive, intellectual or mental challenges unsupervised while using the Hearpieces® or Charger.
• Different types of radiation, e.g. from NMR, MRI or CT scanners, may damage the Hearpieces® or Charger. It is recommended not to wear the Hearpieces® during these or other similar procedures. Other types of radiation, such as burglar alarms, room surveillance systems, radio equipment, mobile telephones, contain less energy and will not damage the Hearpieces® or the Charger. However, they have the potential to momentarily affect the sound quality or temporarily create undesired sounds from the Hearpieces®.
• Swallowing a Hearpiece or loose soft Heartips can result in choking and can be harmful to your health. If a Hearpiece or soft Heartip are swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.
• Keep Hearpieces® and soft Heartips away from pets, children and people with cognitive, intellectual or mental health challenges.
• The Hearpieces® and Charger contain Li-Ion batteries. Exposure or ingestion can be seriously harmful. Never put the Hearpieces® in your mouth.
• Do not dispose of your Hearpieces® or Charger with ordinary household waste. Your Hearpieces® and Charger should be disposed of at sites intended for electronic waste.
• Never use a damaged Charger. A damaged and incorrectly reassembled Charger can cause electric shock or fire when the product is subsequently used.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the Charger as it may expose you to dangerous electric shock and cause the warranty to terminate.
• Avoid charging in extremely high or low temperatures and do not use the Charger outdoors or in damp areas.
• The Charger contains a Li-Ion battery. Consult airline companies for details regarding transportation of the Charger.
• Immediately discontinue using the Hearpieces® and contact a physician if you experience discomfort or ringing in the ears. Prolonged use can cause damage to the residual hearing, tinnitus or hyperacusis.
• Consult a hearing care professional if you think there may be a foreign object in your ear canal.
• The battery is built-in and cannot be replaced. Use of other batteries may present a risk of fire, explosion, or chemical burn.
• No modification of the Hearpieces® or Charger is allowed.
• Exposing the Hearpieces® or Charger to electrostatic discharge may damage the Hearpieces® or Charger or lead to temporary malfunction.
• Connecting the Charger to a bad power adapter or a bad powerline may damage the Charger or lead to temporary malfunction.
• Avoid extensive vibrations or dropping the Hearpieces® or Charger.
• The Hearpieces® and Charger contain Li-Ion batteries that may get hot. The Hearpieces® up to +113 degree Fahrenheit or 45 degree Celsius. Immediately discontinue using the Hearpieces® or Charger if the Hearpieces® or Charger feel hot.
• The Hearpieces® should be used only as described in the user manual. Incorrect use may result in damage to the residual hearing, listening fatigue, or failure to provide sound awareness.
• In general, exposure to loud sounds can damage your hearing. The Hearpieces® are not designed to be used as hearing protection. Wear normal hearing protection in loud sound environments.
• When wearing the Hearpieces®, make sure to stay alert to sounds around you.
• Tinnitus may affect your ability to successfully operate your Hearpieces®.
• LIZN Hearpieces® can lead to ear infections if not properly cleaned. To clean the Hearpieces® and the Charger, unplug any cables and use a soft, lint-free cloth. If a skin problem develops, discontinue use. If the problem persists, please see a doctor, preferably an ear-nose-throat doctor (an ENT).
• When using LIZN Hearpieces® in areas where the air is very dry, it is easy to build up static electricity and possible for your ears to receive a small electromagnetic discharge from the Hearpieces®. To minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge, avoid using the LIZN Hearpieces® in extremely dry environments, or touch a grounded unpainted metal object before inserting the Hearpieces®.
• Install and use the soft Heartips in accordance with the instructions in the user manual and on www.LIZN.com. Do not force soft Heartips down your ear canal. If the soft Heartips become lodged in your ear seek medical attention immediately.
• Keep the LIZN Hearpieces® away from children under 10 years of age. If the Hearpieces® or Heartips have been swallowed by a child, immediately bring the child to medical attention.
• Keep the LIZN Hearpieces® away from dogs and pets. If the Hearpieces® or Heartips have been swallowed by a dog or a pet, please bring the animal to a veterinarian.
• Do not tamper with or dissemble LIZN Hearpieces® or Charger. Doing so will void the warranty and may result in electric shock. For service information, please refer to www.LIZN.com.
• Remove the LIZN Hearpieces® from your ear if it causes pain or discomfort when you insert or place it. To try again, make sure to follow the instructions. If you feel pain or discomfort again, contact LIZN on support@LIZN.com. If your pain or discomfort does not go away, contact your hearing healthcare professional.
• Stop using LIZN Hearpieces® and contact LIZN on support@LIZN.com if they start to overheat.
CAUTION
Please be aware of the following cautions.
Caution: The sound output should not be uncomfortable or painful.
You should turn down the volume or remove the Hearpieces® if the sound output is uncomfortably loud or painful. If you consistently need to turn the volume down, you may need to further adjust your device.
Caution: You might need medical help if a soft Heartip gets stuck in your ear.
If any part of your Hearpiece, like the Heartip, gets stuck in your ear, and you can’t easily remove it with your fingers, get medical help as soon as you can. You should not try to use tweezers or cotton swabs because they can push the part farther into your ear, injuring your eardrum or ear canal, possibly seriously.
Note: If you remain concerned, consult a professional.
If you try the LIZN Hearpieces® and continue to struggle with or remain concerned about your hearing, you should consult with a hearing healthcare professional.
CAUTION
• When the wireless function is activated, the Hearpieces® use low-powered digitally coded transmissions. Although unlikely, nearby electronic devices may be affected. In that case, move the Hearpieces® away from the affected electronic device.
• The Hearpieces® are designed for occasional wear. Long term wearing may result in discomfort and potential ear pain.
• If you experience side effects, contact a hearing care professional. Possible side effects from wearing the Hearpieces® may be: Dizziness, tinnitus, perceived hearing loss, nausea, headache, skin reaction or excessive ear wax accumulation.
• Never attempt to modify the shape of the Hearpieces® or the soft Heartips. This can cause skin reactions or sharp edges, leading to scratches or sores.
• Always keep your smart phone updated with the latest software version.
• Never use alcohol or other cleaning solutions to clean your Hearpieces® or Charger. This can damage the Hearpieces® and may cause a skin reaction.
• Ear wax or other residues on the Hearpieces® might cause infection. Clean the Hearpieces® as instructed to avoid this.
• Do not attempt to dry the Hearpieces® or Charger in an oven, microwave or other heating equipment. This will cause them to melt and may cause burns to your skin.
• For safety reasons, only use the Charger and charging cable supplied with the LIZN Hearpieces®.
• Selecting Heartips that are too small may lead to listening fatigue, cause you to miss sound awareness, or cause the Hearpieces® to fall out of your ear.
• Selecting Heartips that are too big may lead to discomfort and ear pain.
• Heartips that are not properly mounted on the Hearpiece may come loose in the ear.
• Use only the supplied LIZN Hearpieces® Heartips.
Important Handling Information
NOTICE: Failure to follow these handling instructions could result in damage to LIZN Hearpieces® or other property.
• To turn off Bluetooth® on the Hearpieces®, place them in the Charger.
• Do not place the Hearpieces® or Charger in a dishwasher, washing machine, or dryer.
• Do not place the Hearpieces® or Charger in a place with heat or radiation, and do not place the Hearpieces® or Charger near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, flames, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Do not use the Hearpieces® when the temperature of the devises is below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F).
• Do not charge the Hearpieces® when the temperature is below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F) or when conditions are expected to exceed these temperatures. Doing so could result in overheating, fire or injury.
• Do not leave the Hearpieces® or Charger in sunlight for an extended period of time.
• Do not dispose of Hearpieces® or Charger in a fire.
• The Hearpieces® or Charger are not waterproof. Do not use the Hearpieces® or Charger in water, and do not charge Hearpieces® while it is wet.
• Do not use abrasive cleaner, aerosol sprays, or solvents to clean the Hearpieces® or Charger.
• Do not block any ventilation openings on the Hearpieces®.
• Use only an authorized LIZN Hearpieces® charging cable with the battery and use only accessories specified by LIZN Inc.
• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the Hearpieces® or Charger has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the device, the device has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
• The Hearpieces® and Charger include rechargeable lithium ion batteries. Do NOT attempt to replace the batteries yourself. You could damage the battery which could cause overheating, fire or injury. The batteries are only serviceable by LIZN or an authorized service partner and should be returned to LIZN for service.
• Do not dispose the Hearpieces® or Charger.
CAUTION
RISK OF EXPLOTION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE.
DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.
